Independent Testing Assurance
What is it?
Quality Assurance and testing are verification and validation exercises that assure the end business that the software product has been built to specification. On the face of it, a simple enough concept but in reality a process that, if not conducted with the appropriate level of control and governance, can lead to catastrophic failure and damaged reputations to both the customer and supplier.
The role of Q-Solution as an independent test assurance service provider is to ensure that due process, control and governance around testing is followed throughout the project lifecycle. As importantly, it allows for the end user to retain a high degree of control over the test deliverables and ensures that the supplier is not left to "mark their own homework".
A recent report produced by the National Outsourcing Asscoiation (NOA) and AppLabs looked to investigate the quality governance and testing procedures in outsourcing projects and develop best practice guidelines in this area. The full report can be viewed here (pdf).
